Today we are going to talk about 'The Most Common SEO Mistakes' - There are lots of SEO mistakes made today, either through lack of knowledge from the 'SEO Experts' or by attempts to dupe the search engines. After carrying out thousands SEO audits on our clients’ websites, we discovered many of them were guilty of the same SEO mistakes. So we thought we’d share with you our list of the most common SEO mistakes, and some recommendations for avoiding them.



Poor Quality or Duplicate Content


Only a few people (Not SEO Experts) knows that Google is penalising websites that don’t provide original or good quality content. In the past, there have been some loopholes to where people could just crtl + c and ctrl + v somebody else’s article to call their own, well I'm sorry to tell you this, but that time is now over.

Heres the best tip we can give you: Don't ever copy other people’s work, be original and create your own content. 


Hiring the wrong SEO Agency/Consultant

Unfortunately this is still one of the most common SEO mistakes. hiring an SEO that is using outdated tactics is definitely one of the most dangerous SEO mistake of all. Hiring the wrong SEO agency is not just a waste of your money, but they can get your site penalised and damage your online reputation for good.

If your SEO agency/expert doesn’t want to show you the link report of existing clients (if allowed to), move on and look for a different agency.

So our tip here is: Don't waste your money with unexperienced SEO agencies/consultants.

Unrealistic SEO Expectations

Some people still think that SEO is like magic, and it's just about pressing a few buttons and your website appears at the top of Google’s search rankings. Well, I'm sorry to tell you this, but you are terribly wrong! SEO is very hard!

Before trying to understand SEO, first let me tell you this - Google is all about authority, age and popularity. Now take a look at your website and ask yourself these simple questions - Are you producing quality content? Are you selling your products/services the way you should? What can you do to improve it? How's your social media stalking? Are you offering real value?
If your website has a very poor content, the design is outdated and your online presence is = ZERO, well my friend, you will need a lot more than just an SEO Company to save your business.

So our final tip is: SEO is very important if you want your business to succeed, but it won't work if you forget about the other aspects of your website, such as high quality content and a good looking site.
